What a day

This morning started out benignly enough. A light dusting of snow, charmingly cold, a good fire in the stove, our kids excited about the snow.

Then I forgot my wallet. Halfway to work I realized this and drive back home to get it. Almost.

My clutch finally went out completely, preventing me from shifting into the lower gears. So I finally drove it to the auto shop and consented to have it repaired. I was really hoping the limp through the holiday season and push this off until after the new year...

So then I went back home to work at home for a while. I'd drive the truck to work later, no problem.

Then Jean throws her back out lifting Merrill onto the potty. Yay!!! And Lucas hasn't even come home from pre-school yet (it's 11:00am). So I have to leave for work in 15 minutes - and Jean gets Bob to pick up Lucas from preschool.

Then I'm changing Eleanor's diaper...and she projectile poops on me. Like in the Excorcist when the girl vomits, only with a stream of French's Mustard colored poop, but the consistency of Stripe the Gremlin when he melts at the end of The Gremlins

I'm working at home for the rest of the day.
