Great Room Wood Floors, Day Six

I woke up this morning at six o'clock, against my better judgement, to return the sander...

I didn't want to get charged an extra day for it. Today I'm putting on the last two coats of varnish.

We're going to have to spend a day at the Phillipsons' (I'm picking up Jean and the kids tonight from National) house, if for no other reason that the fumes are noxious. The varnish won't be hard enough for furniture yet though - hopefully by Wednesday it will be ready. I'll go out and purchase anti-scuff pads for as much of the furniture as I can find today.

On a side note, Lucas has started singing "The Rainbow Connection" from having heard it on his "bedtime mix" CD. He sang it to me on the phone yesterday; absolutely endearing.
