An aside. The entrance to our driveway now has pavement. It was a surprise to us all...
Jean called me to say that the entrance to our driveway, specifically the part over the culvert and tributary had been paved. She came home from playgroup or errands and there it was, all nice and smooth. Huh.
You may recall I nabbed some rather large chunks of flood-debris pavement from the side of the road and artisically arranged them to build up the driveway. I'm betting VDOT thought we used to have pavement there, and that our driveway is their responsibility, even though it's more than three feet from the roadway.
Gift horse accepted.
